Celadon is well known for its exquisite porcelain, bright and smooth lines, dignified and elegant shape, and pure color. Ancient celadon is divided into iron-like body and porcelain body. Celadon glaze is fired in reducing atmosphere with iron oxide as its coloring agent.

Longquan celadon is a typical representative of Chinese ceramics; Longquan, Zhejiang Province, is the main production area of Chinese celadon since the Southern Song Dynasty. Now Longquan Kiln still retains the complete technological process and production method of ancient Ge Kiln and Di Kiln. The firing technology of Longquan Kiln is listed as human intangible cultural heritage.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, celadon was further developed into sky green, pink green, pea green, gray green, plum green, etc., making the colors more colorful and gorgeous.
