Gong Shulong is a Chinese artist. He majored in Sculpture at University of Hainan. He is a member of Hainan Sculpture Art Association, a member of Hainan Young Artists Association. He is a pottery teacher of Zhongxia National Art Space. He has been engaged in sculpture and ceramic teaching and creation for a decade and has participated in domestic exhibitions and competitions many times.

This work combines the characteristics of porcelain clay as thin as paper with the folding molding method and adopts the decorative characteristics of newspaper to form a hyper-realist style. It presents the possibilities of modern artistic expression with traditional materials. The newspaper has been used to disseminate modern culture and has been keeping up with the times. This work expresses the respect for the tradition and the inheritance of culture. Its simple composition increases the formal beauty of the work.
