On the morning of August 4th, the 11th China Changchun International Ceramics Symposium and 2023 Lianhua Mountain Ceramics Camp opened in Gorgeous Lotus of Lianhua Mountain Ecological Tourism Resort. Xue Wenge, Deputy President of Changchun Municipal Committee of the Chinese people’s Political Consultative Conference attended and announced the opening.

This China Changchun International Ceramics Symposium is hosted by the Administrative Committee of Changchun Lianhua Mountain Ecological Tourism Resort, Changchun Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, Foreign Affairs Office of Changchun Municipality, Changchun Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Academy of Fine Arts of Jilin University of Arts, Academy of Fine Arts of Northeast Normal University, Jingdezhen Ceramic University Art Gallery; organized by Bureau of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Technology of Changchun Lianhua Mountain Ecological Tourism Resort, Changchun International Ceramics Gallery; co-organized by Jilin Gorgeous Lotus Cultural Industry Group Co., Ltd, Changchun College Of Electronic Technology, and Museum of Contemporary Art Jilin.

Before the ceremony started, a wonderful performance was presented to the Chinese and foreign ceramists and the audience, including dance, diabolo, Sichuan Opera Face ... Let the audience feel the charm of Chinese culture.

Zhao Haiying, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Administrative Committee of Changchun Lianhua Mountain Resort, delivered a welcome speech. She said that ceramics is an important cultural card of Lianhua Mountain, carrying its cultural sustenance and cultural dream. At present, the ceramics gallery of our district has collected more than 1,100 ceramic works. These works are ingenious in conception, novel in idea, and distinct in style, they profoundly display the cultural connotation of Lianhua Mountain, which is profoundness, inheritance, broadness, and tolerance. It also gives Lianhua Mountain a strong foundation and cultural confidence to establish a national-level tourist resort and create a "new business card for Changchun cultural tourism". As the organizer, we will provide the most considerate and enthusiastic service to all the ceramists. We also hope that the ceramists will get to know the mountains, rivers, and rural alleys of Lianhua Mountain, and enjoy the beautiful scenery and unique charm of Lianhua Mountain!

Ms. Duygu Kahraman, a Turkish ceramist, spoke on behalf of the international ceramists. She said that today, on behalf of all ceramist, I am here, with its incredible nature and new sources of inspiration, feeding my imagination and myself. Finally, let us witness a magnificent cultural exchange at Lianhua Mountain. Mr. Li Chao, a Chinese ceramist, made a speech on behalf of Chinese ceramists. He said that in the past 9th and 10th ceramics symposium, the working team of Changchun ceramics symposium actively faced challenges, and injected new vitality into the global ceramics. Today, the 11th China Changchun International Ceramics Symposium continues to be held in Changchun Lianhua Mountain. Outstanding artists gather together to discuss different art concepts, experience different exotic cultures, and exchange different creative techniques.

To thank Mr. Yao Qi for donating the work "Lotus Girl" to our Ceramic Gallery, and it is created by Mr. Yao Yongkang during his lifetime. Xue Wenge, Deputy President of Changchun Municipal Committee of the Chinese people’s Political Consultative Conference, issued a collection certificate to Mr. Yao Qi.

It is believed that under the strong leadership of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, Changchun Lianhua Mountain Ecological Tourism Resort will adhere to the principle of "prospering the district in culture", strengthen "cultural confidence", and focus on the creation of ice and snow culture, historical culture, ceramic culture, red culture etc. We will also delve deeper into the profound connotation of ceramic culture, work with friends to further expand and deepen areas of cooperation, develop Changchun into the "Ceramics Capital" of northern China, and jointly create a bright future for world ceramic culture.
