2021, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, is the opening year of the 14th Five-Year Plan of China's economic and social development. In order to celebrate the grand festival of the founding of the Party, implement the new national and city-wide development strategies, create a regional cultural card of Lotus Mountain, promote Chinese and foreign art exchanges, and expand the international influence of Changchun ceramics, organizers have decided to hold the 10th China Changchun International Ceramics Symposium and Lotus Mountain Ceramics Tour Exhibition.

With the theme of "Classics - Uniqueness - Fusion", the symposium aims to ‘promote traditional national culture, promote Chinese and foreign art exchanges, improve the cultural taste of the city and enrich the spiritual life of the people’. With the principles of ‘consciousness for the best, creation by masters, and the finest quality and artistry of works’, the symposium has started to collect works from ceramists and ceramic enthusiasts from all over the world. It is planned to collect 150 pieces of works from 50 Chinese or foreign ceramists.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers decided to hold the symposium in form of ‘sending works for the symposium’. The symposium can be divided into two phases. The first stage from March 1 to early August is for the selection of works and the delivery of works; the second stage from August to November is for the exhibition of works to the public. The exhibition will be held at the Lotus Mountain Resort, Changchun Museum, and Changchun International Ceramics Gallery .

At the moment, all the preliminary work for the symposium is being carried out steadily and orderly.
