Yu Cheng-Chung is a ceramist from Taiwan, China. He has been engaged in ceramic teaching and creation for many years. He has held more than 10 solo exhibitions and participated in many international events like ceramic exhibitions, competitions and seminars held in Spain, Portugal, Italy and other places, and his works have been widely praised.

This work combines pottery arts and personal feelings, conveying deep thoughts in a quiet atmosphere. It shows a distant and lonely world, in which we feel the power of the universe in silence. The simplicity of pottery combined with the image of a wine bottle creates a poetic atmosphere of transcendence.

This work depicts a fish turning into a roc, with its full and colorful body. It swims in the sea, as free as Chuang Tzu’s roc flying to the sky and shows the legendary scene of a fish leaping over the Dragon Gate. Tossing clouds and mist, the fish finally swims in the rainbow.
